I had no idea things were so full of suck at Union. :( I'm glad you managed to get away, though. I, too, have had a job become truly craptastic, and it eats away at your souls and grinds you down.
And security guarding + nursing school? Rock on with your bad self. :) Sometimes, I just have to laugh at how life scoffs at our original goals and boots us into something completely different. I guess it's kinda nice to know I'm not the only one it happens to.

Yeah, they were total suck in a lot of ways, not so much in others. But ultimately, the drain of everyday bad stuff won out...so here I am. I had already starting taking pre-req classes for nursing school at night (uggh.) and just waiting it out until I could find a job that I could do while in school since the nursing sequence is during the day.

Sorry to hear that your job is draining you too. Any thoughts about what you will do after you finish law school...since it doesn't seem that you want to practice law?

I'm glad things are going well. It's unfortunate that the hospital didn't work out, but it sounds like it worked out.

Yeah, I think this will be better than the hospital in a lot of ways (at least it pays more, which means I don't have to work 60 hrs a week to survive). I do have to work the 11 PM-7AM shift, but hey, you gotta start somewhere.

How's your job hunt going? Any news yet?

The timeframe isn't terrible, but you will probably be busy.

The job hunt is not really a hunt so much. I'm just waiting to hear from OSU, who doesn't interview the third candidate until May 26. With UNC-Chapel Hill, the AD search is still on hold. Just trying to be patient.
