I really liked this. It has a great deal of sadness tempered by what is in effect a rather positive ending of Arthur and Merlin enduring together and having hope with the child.

I'm glad you liked it. It was my first fic in this fandom (I wrote a few very bad Harry Potter ones years ago) and wasn't too sure about posting it.

And there wasn't really much Merlin/Arthur in this one mostly becasue those scenes were from Merlin's POV and I already had about 3 differnet POV's in this. I'll probably add those later as missing scenes :D

Oh wow. This was so brilliant. I love the way you wove all the different parts of this fic into one another, and it came out brilliantly.

Arthur is almost ready to be King but Morgana can’t wait that long. Her mind will not hold up that long. With every passing day possibilities for the future multiply and she sees them all.
I love this line. The idea that Morgana will crack from the pressure of all the future possibilities is one that really strikes a chord in me.

Really well written, this was masterful.

Thanks. I was quite nervous about this as I am not a writer (I'm better with maths and numbers) but this fandom has eaten my brain so I wrote fic (and am planning more to fill in some of the gaps in this story)

I really like your style. It's sad and flowly and beautiful.
And I love that the fic came full circle, starting with Uther holding his son whose other has just died and finishing with Arthur in the same position.

I've only just found Merlin communities on LJ, the potential between Arthur an Merlin is so great, glad I'm not the only one to see it. This was sad but I loved it. Thanks.

I love it, how you wove everything together, and I think Morgana's betrayal makes sense, as does her waiting for Melrin to be gone- and her feeling bad about the pain it with cause Merlin.

And then the full circle, Arthur holding his son when his wife died, and the slight hint he shall deal with it better then Uther- because of Merlin.

Nimueh at the end was lovely. Well done! ILU
