Okay, I'm thankful I have a job and everything, but it can suck my ass. I have like the best attention span in the world, and I still find it a bit tricky to finish all the work you have to do in 1 hour, and still have another 6 hours of sitting in front of a monitored (re: I can't play solitare or cruise the internet) where there's NOTHING to do ( Read more... )

I wish I could, but I'm supposed to be busy the entire time I'm at work. Any ideas for things I can do that look like work? ^_^

Blah, I wish...

I work for this company that sells stuff over the internet, and I'm supposed to update their search engines and work with affiliates (which is ridiculous, because I don't know anything about that stuffage. But since everyone who works on the computers besides me is ridiculous untrustworthy, they make sure to look over their shoulders every five minutes to make sure that they are actually doing something work-related.

It makes it so I can't really do anything that's not DIRECTLY related to work. *sigh* I might just sneak a puzzle in tomorrow and do it when no one's around hehe. Thanks for the advice!

well our phone calls get monitored along with our computer screen, and we actually have an employee store that has discounts to places like Best Buy and Barnes&Nobles, that youre technically supposed to only go on your break to see,but it gets way too boring.puzzles are the best time killers though!

holy shit, you're so lucky... I live in those two stores. I don't even think we get a discount, and if we did, I don't want to buy any of the stuff as it is.

I have Tetris on my cell phone, and I tried playing that today... I get too into it though and totally lose track of time! I'll figure something out

My job is like that sometimes too. But they make us help other departments when we don't have anything to do (which sucks because I would rather just go home).
I found your journal in one of those friends communities. Can I add you?

Oh, and here are some other communities: __ljfriends, _friends_, a_new_lj_friend, newfriends, ljfriends, i_want_friends

It sucks, doesn't it? I mean I'm in at 10, done with work no later than 12... and for some reason they keep me around until 5. Psh, they just can't appreciate extremely talented people like ourselves.

And sure you can add me, hope you don't mind if I add you back... and thanks for all the communities, I'll look through them when I get a bit of time.

I can't even imagine... sounds about as fun as mine, though I'd like the interaction with people. My desk is located in between a refrigerator and a rack of jars.

Then again, flash back to the retail days reminds me of the kind of people you have to deal with *shudder*
