I'm forever mispronouncing things because I've only seen them written. I had this problem with cache for years. And it is a truth that you can't see your own mistakes. I have a friend I copy edit for and she has a habit of leaving out words or doubling up words (when you change your mind about the word you want midsentence), when she starts going really fast she'll change tenses. And because she knows what she meant that's what she reads. I cringe when I go back over my own stuff, stuff I know I edited 3 times and find errors that my eye simply skipped right over. A copy editor is a must.
