a grand total of 12 people came.

so if you said you were going to come to the show, but didn't, I hate you right now. and we aren't on speaking terms until I get 5$ from you.
The minumum charge of $100 for rental of the flying monkey was fufilled to about 50$.

OK, thx for clearing that up, really... your post sounded different, but now it all makes more sense.
(i'm ryan's gf so yeah i am worried about him and cant take it if people dont respect what he does. you seem to feel genuinely sorry about all this, just a little bit of advice: watch out next time you do a show, better be safe than sorry)

My fist show i did was hecate, christoph fringelli, zipperspy and emil beulio(sp?) it tanked like 10 people showed up. fortunatly i got the pa for free and the venue was cheap but i was hosed for cash...

General rule of thumb is to never ever ever take all the people who say they are coming as your guidline for how much cash you have to work with.

the rule is take all the people who say theyare coming half that and that is the number of people you can count on. Anyone one else who comes because of flyers or whatnot is gravy and you shouldn't count on that ever.

Shit. I'm really sorry, man. I was gonna come, but I had to work. I mean, I don't know a whole lot about breakcore or anything, but I was curious. I hate how people around here always complain that there's nothing to do and how lame most of the local bands are, but when something different is gonna happen nobody seems to be too eager to flock to it. If it comforts you any, I think about 12 people showed up to the first Velvet Underground show too.

...no kidding, I just reviewed the mini-disc recording of my performance and it's jusssst about this painful..

man did I do a crappy show. I liked the set I did in chattanootga way better.
On this one I missed all my cues and my shit just didn't line up at all. loops were scattered like middle fingers at a demolition derby.

I'm going to have to agree with a lot of the comments that Cristina from Dark Matter made. Your attitude is a major turn off. It's important to accept that a lot of the work will be thankless. But for breakcore, yeah, have some money set aside. Let's be realistic ( ... )
