Well, today was the second day back at school. Classes are pretty good, I have people I know in every one. And 3 are in the new building. ECS. It has elevators that talk to you. THEY TALK! I have Dr. Zonk (aka Reg Mitchell aka Wendy Steen-Mitchell's husband for anyone who danced with her) for Spectroscopy. I want to take him a sailor suit and send him off on a boat. haha he's such a cute old man. Stats was fun, as was Bio. Creasey doesn't seem to be nearly the bastard that everyone makes him out to be, although I'm sure he'll prove me wrong soon enough. Microbio was good, enthusiastic teacher, he came out of retirement to work for peanuts, so he's gotta love his job. Good stuff. Organic chem oughta be interesting. I've already forgotten everything I learned in Chem last year, so I paniced a bit when I couldn't remember anything that the prof was talking about. I'm sure it'll all come back soon.
It's the second day, and I've already been stood up for a lunch date. Thanks tom :P. Hah.
Anywho, on to pictures. Some have already been facebooked if u think ur experiencing deja vous...
One summer's eve we went to Will's house. With Marija's Van der Graaf machine... Catherine's hair was perfect.
Long story short. Will got a chair. Marija Grace and I started writing math on the chair (we were allowed to sharpie it). Will threw said chair into the hedge and proceeded to climb the hedge to sit in the chair...
Marija and I went on another road trip. Cue photoshopping pics together
We saw the Celebration of Light in Vancouver
Panorama of dt Van. Notice all the smoke from the fireworks
There was a fundraiser in August. The Week to End Cancer. Scott, Alix, Marija and I worked our butts off to organize it, and a ton of other people worked insane amounts to get all the jobs done. We ended up raising over $13000 for the BC Cancer Agency!
Soon after I headed up to Tofino for some family escape time
We took a ferry in to bamfield. And ferried out of bamfield. I wish I could go back for ever and ever and ever. We saw lots of whales during the trip.
Tofino is sooo bloody gorgeous.
A bunch of us girls headed out to Marija's cabin in Sooke.
We did tons of jumping into the potholes
Some ugly pictures were taken
We made a huge stirfry for dinner
And started to drink in the evening.
Mmmmm growers. Peach is still the best.
Headshots of the crew.
Sorry Marija, only one i have of you
I had a fondue night
I GOT A CHEM MODEL SET!! I made a sweet molecule... oh god bad joke. it's glucose.
My mommy got a new camera to replace the one that died in the tidepool. I love it.
The dress that Marija and I both bought in Vancouver.
This summer was amazing in so many ways. Thanks to everyone that helped me get over all the bumps in the road. I couldn't have done it without you.
For my last night absolutely free from school... we pimped my ride, after having an all out glowstick war in the streets of south oak bay. Never before have I been so afraid of glowsticks hurtling through the air. Who knew they could sting so much? haha. so many different techniques, aiming to hurtle the glowsticks with max velocity. ahh life can be so good.
