Every once in a while someone will ask me about the kind of books I enjoy reading. I'm a very multifaceted reader, I consume both fiction and non-fiction books with equal relish, and my reading habits are often dictated by whatever project I currently find myself working on. I've read the Abercrombie books and just finished the Mistborn trilogy and I agree with you wholeheartedly on both - these two authors actually are doing something unique! I loved Mistborn, and allomancy/feruchemy/hemalurgy. The ending of the trilogy saddened me, but only because I wanted to know more.

Have you read Elantris by Sanderson yet? It's a stand alone book, but another really good one in my opinion.

I'm actually excited for the last two WoT books now.

Thanks for sharing this list, once I finish the Calderon books (really want to buy First Lord's Fury!) I'll have to look into Coe and Brett

Love the Calderon books, and almost listed them but Jim Butcher makes plenty of money and they've been on the NY Times best seller list.

I'm planning to read Elantris this summer, and Sanderson has a new series coming out this August.
