Survival

I've been teaching an almost normal teacher timetable since January and I've now made it to the Easter holidays. This is what they call Teaching Practice (inventive name, I know). There's only three weeks of Teaching Practice left after Easter, and then we go into theory stuff, without much teaching. So basically, I'm pretty much done.

Lots of whitter about Teaching Practice )

Oh I was so happy to read this. I had all the same experiences my first year teaching. I felt like I was constantly just trying to keep my head above water - up nights until 2:00 a.m. or later. And the thing you plan that you think will be wonderful can fall flat on its face...but then when you have those real teaching moments! It's great! It has gotten better for me over the past few years and this year has been my happiest yet.

You are going to be a fantastic teacher! Keep your creativity close at hand and be true to your own talents even as you analyze and disect yourself.

I look forward to hearing more about your adventures!
