Something from our past that sticks with me, about you and me, that I would be willing to share with them. I'll tell you guys, the Professor and I go back. I was there when he first was brought to Torchwood. Although he ( Read more... )

Probably a good thing I wasn't shown the archives during my brief stint up in Scotland, collecting Izzie. You'd have lost me for good.

Och, you'd have emerged eventually, laddie. I think you and James would get along quite well, actually.

He's trying to lure you away with tales of the greater Torchwood Archives. ;)

No, really, you'd come out. After all, he keeps them in such a state of neatness now that even you'd approve. But you'd definitely like it. We should visit sometime.

Ah. First day at the House. Nice choice, Jackie-boy. I remember it clearly, as I seem to remember most things.

I was communing with the House, poor neglected soul. Among other things, the previous chap hadn't known what to do with the spirits, either. Were you aware that I found records indicating that he'd tried to have them exorcised?

I was absolutely appalled.

Thank you, once more, for getting me drunk that night. I really needed it. As for the brawls? 'T'was nae my fault, as I recall. ;) As for what came later? Glad you didn't decide to share that piece of history.

I thought so.

I figured as much, the way you kept closing your eyes and murmuring to yourself. If I didn't know about your 'oddities' already by that point, I probably would've been a little weirded out. ;)

And I wasn't aware, no. That's unfortunate. He was undead, after all. Perhaps he felt the idea of discorporeal spirits an affront, as he was stuck in that moldy, rotting frame of his.

Hey, I'm always here to help, and I could tell. And who cares whose fault they were, they were fun, which is all that matters. As for after ... A gentleman never tells. As you should well know. Except to drinking buddies who don't know you. ;)

I'm odd. Just the way things are. :)

And being 'undead' would put anyone off, I'd think. Poor soul. Perhaps the spirits did disturb him, on some level.

And most brawls are fun. It's when they're battles that I don't enjoy them at all, at all.

I raise my glass to you, Jack.
