Others were angry that these non-natives were sneaking into the country with their germs, causing a massive upswing in violence, stealing all the jobs/beaver pelts, and generally just being a bunch of massive a-holes. This is why white people who complain about illegal immigration should be scalped.

I like the way you put that. I also hate when celebs are interviewed as "experts" on anything that isn't related to acting, makeup, or their own egos.

What's so maddening is that having all these unnecessary talking heads leaves little time for the talking heads that actually ARE necessary. The real historians get a few lines here and there, but then it's off to hear what Tom Brokaw thinks of the Boston Tea Party. Occasionally there's a non-historian that pops up that could actually provide an interesting, modern perspective on certain events. General Petraeus discussing the British occupation of New York? That could be good! But then, he's only given two sentences before they cut to Rudy Giuliani.

And just to keep things fair, I think we should we acknowledge this inscription that was found on a cliff wall in Washington state. It dates back to 39,000 BC:

HOOMENS GOSE HOHM.
BUILL WALL CROSS BERING STRATE KEPP DEM OUTS.
DEY HUNTS UZ AN TERS UP OOR DAMS
BAD HOOMANS BAD HOOMANS BAD HOOMANS
