Sorry that I’m late with this, so sorry, but I’ve been terrible at follow-thru lately! *says random Ravenclaw #5 after he sets up his school-wide Sorting experiment*
But you are simply Hufflepuff to the core, from what I can glean! The heart of that House’s great worth is its sense of duty.
You write, I'll do the task no one wants but needs to get done, and you consider that one of your best qualities. That tells me you don’t behave that way out of an ingratiating attitude, like some. You do it because it must be done, and you take pride in that.
The strength of your spine is noted in your willingness to break ties. Let no one say again that Hufflepuffs are pushovers! Many would not want to be deemed inconsiderate indeed, like you, but they’ll nevertheless do what must be done.
The utopian yearning in your would-be epitaph will find enthusiastic fans among our Ravenclaw poets, but that’s hardly a reason to deny your rightful place in HUFFLEPUFF. 👏
1. Time to show off. What is your best quality? I used to say that it was my determination - my ability to see my way through to achieve whatever my goal is, but I think it's now a sense of knowing which goals are achievable and worth putting in the effort and which goals are simply not worth it. The particular nature of our world’s great current threat is bringing out a Hufflepuff side of you I haven’t noticed before - in spending your billions doing whatever it takes to end these pandemics. But is it really so Hufflepuff, really, to want to get on with the business of living?
A Slytherin on a lifelong mission to prove himself, for one, would like to see these life-threatening viruses under control! First off, how can you reach the heights of your potential if die, and second - no, just THAT, for God’s sake.
Your desire for a legacy is quintessentially Slytherin. Sure, people of any House may want to leave legacies, but you tend to hear the common refrains: “It’s okay as long as I enjoy my time on Earth,” “never become complacent,” “never stop trying to understand the cosmos.” It’s a deeply Slytherin thing, however, to not deem your life fulfilled unless you
