TV Review: September 6 - 12

Welcome to my first TV review. Where I review the shows I have been watching and tell you what I think. Since it’s still early and not a lot of shows have premiered yet, I am going to focus on two this week, 90210 and Melrose Place. I haven’t seen Supernatural yet, if anyone thinks it was worth watching then let me know.

I was really excited for the premier of 90210, I knew they were going to change the dynamic of the show slightly, but I think they changed it a little too much for my liking. First I am thrilled they made Adrianna a main character, she gained more prestige as the first season went on and now she is a full fledged main character. That is a great change the show has made. Adriana has always been a great part of the show and it’s about time they push her character more.

What I am not really digging though is how they pushed Annie to the back burner. I really do not like the show being about the three musketeers (Naomi, Silver and Adrianna). I really hope that this is just a temporary thing while they wait to push Annie’s storyline forward. I never was a big Annie fan, but I just cringed at the end of the episode when the dude brushed her off and Naomi got her hands on that video.

The show was kind a lackluster while they were at the beach, but once they got back into the school, the last five minutes sizzled, reminding me why I watched the show to begin with.

Melrose Place is the show I have been waiting all summer for. Once I found out my love Katie Cassidy was starring in it I couldn’t wait for it. The pay off did deliver in my mind. I thought the first episode was witty and charming. The characters were all pretty likable, there wasn’t anyone I hated (Yet) and I enjoyed myself.

Ella was of course my favorite character. Did anyone else get the impression that she is in love with Jonah? I really think so. Poor Ella, I hope they end up together. It’s too early to really give any more dish on anything else. I will be able to give more in depth character thoughts next week.

Anyway, I know this one wasn’t that exciting, but next week One Tree Hill will be added to the line up and that will be fun!

So what was the best this week?

Best Actor: Katie Cassidy

Hottest Person: Katie Cassidy

Most Interesting Character: Ella

As you can see, Katie kind of cleaned house in the weekly awards. Can she do it again? We will see.
