Of course, having a PS2 and all, I had to finally go out and get DDR. Ended up getting DDR Extreme bundled with a Konami pad. So far, the pad's been working far better than any other soft pad I've played on. It still slips a bit, but far less than other pads I've used. You can't play barefoot though, the surface has a weird texture that sticks ( Read more... )

ddr extreme is frustrating becuase all i want is end of the century and dream a dream and they arent on there. the never ending story theme song is a slight make-up for what its lacking. katamari is the only video game ever to make me laugh on purpose. and if you have ddr pads than we should be playing at your house, and jumping on your pads till their as broken as forrests, yurks, renos, renos second pair, and the ones we are working on now.

I only have one pad, and I'm gonna play on it like mad until it wears out. By then, I'll probably have the money for a metal pad (or even two). It might actually take a while, because I've gotten better at playing on pads without stomping my feet or jumping really hard. I have a pretty light touch, and now it drives me crazy when anyone steps really hard like my brother does. Especially people that, when the song gets harder or they get worse, they stomp harder. That's not gonna help at all.

But the Konami-made soft pad is so much better than any of the other ones I've played on. When it slips, it'll slip like 2 inches after a hard song, if that. It still irritates my once in a while, but it's much better than other pads that I've had slip over a foot on a standard song.
