Hello all you people in LJ land! This is just a quick heads up to let you know about my new regular writing gig reviewing Skins series 4 for Den of Geek!

Recently I recalled a conversation I had with a mate of mine who's a professional stand-up, Carey Marx. He tours all over the world and was telling me of a recent gig he did in Hong Kong where he was told explicitly by the venue staff not to do any jokes about paedophiles. I got around to watching an episode of People Like Us which featured a pre-Doctor Who Tennant as an actor shockingly enough. The series itself was mostly adapted from a radio programme with this being the only episode specifically written for TV. It was canned back in 2001 in favour of another small BBC show called 'The Office' and we all know how ( Read more... )

Went to the Charlie Brooker signing at Fopp, mostly to hang out with the splendid super_loulou and meet donny_scum who I've been chatting to over twitter lately.
I picked up a copy of his new book to get signed and he recognised from over a year ago!
