This weekend were the collegium concerts, all three of which were really great! However, on Friday we learned that Dr. Plank was sick and couldn't come to conduct! Weird exchange w/ Plank on his way out of that honors defense thingamabob:
Plank: (looks at Inky display)
Erin: That's my cat, you know, Mr. Plank.
Plank: Is it?
Erin: Yup.
Plank: You know, I have cats at home.
Erin: ... ... ... um... .... yes, I know. (pause) ... So, I actually got paid to make that display.
McGuire: That's what they call putting your education to good use.
Erin: (Laughs) Exactly.
Wha? Was I not just at his house 2 days ago? Have I not met his cats? Sure, the nondeceased ones may not exactly be extroverts, but I have at least chased one of them under the bed in an attempt to pet it.
Anyway, first he infects the whole group, now he's all up ons with the cat weirdness. Poor Inky. She never meant for this to happen. Check plus.
