Strengths: I'm not afraid to speak out if I feel the need to. I tend to take charge to stop chaos. I get poetic when it comes to writing about what I love. I'm understanding and I love listening to people talk. And I love being detailed. I can't just list things; no, I need full-on sentences! With semicolons!

Weaknesses: When I get tired that's it, I'm done. If I'm not into something, forget about it. Sometimes my ego gets bruised, but I've gotten better about keeping it in check. But I am so not humble, let me tell you.

How People Describe You: "Astute" was the word I wrote my best friends would describe me as on my college app because, well, that's what they said when I asked.

Dislikes: Bugs. And spiders. And blood and needles and doctors and anything medical, I just black out, it's kind of a problem.

Likes: Warm days, sun showers, ice-cream, pasta, chocolate, history books, good music, and good conversation.

The worst insult someone called you: I try not to hold on to those things. Why dwell on the bad when there is so much good in the world?

Hair Color: My mom would say "oh, it's a lovely brown with some lovely highlights" but it's really this really dark brown, almost black. I wish it was red.

Eye Color: Green, though it goes from grey to brown depending on things.

Favorite Founding Father: Oh, Thomas Jefferson, yum... But it's just, I don't know, the more I read on him (and that is over 5000 pages together at this point), the more I see and understand and relate to him. He feels real to me the way no other historical figure does. Thomas Jefferson is my life.

Favorite Color: Green! No, red. No, I can't pick. I just love really good colors.

Least Favorite Founding Father: I'm going to have to go with Dickinson on this one, but here's why. I don't like any of the FFs who refused to take a stand either one way or the other, who wanted to wait instead of acting. After all I've read of that time and of what makes an 18th century gentleman, that inability to be decisive is very disagreeable, and Dickinson is just the pinnacle of that.

Political Party (no modern ones sorry): If I had to pick (and I've always been of the opinion that common sense is the best political principle), I would have to go with Democratic-Republican. From the philosophy of power coming from the governed to the Franco-American relationship, that's just what I feel fits best with me.

Music: What music do I like? Well I'm going to be uber-dorky and say wizard rock (songs involving Harry Potter, go look it up) are the reason I live, but I do like other things. Verve, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Radiohead, Elbow. I like fast-paced stuff like Foo Fighters sometimes, but the more mellow music really moves me. Oh, and classical music is the best. Mozart is the reason I passed calculus.

Movie: Besides 1776? Prisoner of Azkaban, Howl's Moving Castle, and Confederate States of America which I think everyone should see.

What are you scared of?: Everything I listed in the "Dislike" part of the form.

State: Well I'm New Jersey, born and bred, but I've always felt this connection to Virginia and everything she stands for.

Independence: ... Yea?
