I photographed with a new outlook today. I think it worked. My photos are more interesting. I also kind of returned to my roots of doing extensive picture-specific editing. I like the results (and I know the colors are unnatural sometimes.......just accept it).

When I first got a digital camera.....maybe three years ago, I kind of went overboard with "techniques," and I eventually realized that my application of them was really kind of gimmicky and stupid. After that, I stayed away from super-editing and tried to make things look nice from techniques used at the actual time of photography (harder...). I'm making a cautious return to super-editing, realizing that there is a tasteful and ultimately effective way of using the advanced features of photoshop.

Prometheus was a titan who created mankind, and stole fire from the gods to gave to the humans to keep them warm. Turns out that it pisses the gods off when things are stolen from them, so Zeus had Pandora made and sent her to Prometheus with her jar. Prometheus didn't want anything to do with Pandora so he sent her away. She instead married P.dot's brother, who didn't head P.dot's warning about the jar. Pandora got curious, opened the jar and released all the shit things we have to go through now onto the world. THEN something else happened and he was punished again by the gods by being hung upsidedown from his ankle in the middle of nowhere. Everyday a vulture would come down and eat his liver. Heracles saved him though by shooting some imortal birds and the Greeks drank more wine and came up with more tales.

I love that cat. Hey, when we move to a bigger, better roommate house which will include another tall-ly, we should overthrow the cat allergists and get a cat named Prometheus. Foreals.
