two weeks ago, my motherboard suffered a catastrophic failure. or in technical terms "got fried to a crisp," so the computer guy said. so my computer got sent away to be worked on. $US130 later and i have a new motherboard, a new hard disk and very little of my old data. *sigh

( last friday, (27 april) i got a call from someone. the call came at 12.10pm with the caller insisting that i drive to yonghe to pick him up at 1pm. making all the more surprising was that the caller was supposed to be in cambodia... )
