Christmas is coming down on me like a great big red and green tidal wave. To some degree, I'm terrified. To another, I'm looking forward to it. I like getting people presents. I always try to get people something they want or need.

dear aino,

you are brilliant-
and not just in the wild imagination witty repartee department.
you are a bright, unyielding light
in a world that seems obsessed with gorging itself on despair.
it is complete and utterly alright that some of this gray gets into you
and take up residency for awhile.
listen to some dark music. eat too many chocolates.
feel the sad, then let it go. let it go. you can't fly with all that weight.
but don't deny your journey
and don't forget that your journey is YOUR journey.
follow your gut. be real. dare to be authentic.

i love you,
for real

Ains,

You're a brilliant, beautiful, shining, determined, ball of atoms wonderful young lady. And don't think I don't know when you're sad, because I'm pretty good at reading people. ;) Don't think so? DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME. Keely will see what you did there.

And here's something else- tell people when you're sad. Don't hide it. because that's not a healthy thing to do for yourself, VERY unhealthy. More than most people know. You silly girl. ♥
Being sad is something everyone has to do when the time is right. You should never have it, yet there are times when we don't have the time to be sad. I know I need many times when I have to have my moment of my heart to be broken in pieces in my head to be in a mess ( ... )

I is atoms yay!

Please come visit soon. You know our couch is your couch!

And thank you. I'm going to take that all to heart. I don't normally feel the need to talk about this sort of stuff just because I can usually work it out on my own just fine, but I had a talk with dad and he said something that's just been stewing around in it's own juices in my brain and I was like "I need to get this out or I won't be able to focus".

Aino,

Our lives have taken us in wildly different directions since we were younglings playing in your mom's backyard together, but I still think of you as a good and true friend, as someone who has helped me through some of the worst times of my life. I can't express my love and gratitude to you enough. That said, everyone has a right to have bad times, to be sad.. so, try not to let it stew, hidden away... BE sad and then you can move past it.

If you ever wanna talk, including just catching up about life, gimme a call!!

I agree with the above peoples. I too am an optimistic happy person, but sometimes I get unbearably down. Usually friends don't see this, but I've been more honest about my feelings lately. The world is moving into new places.

Also, the real world isn't that scary. Or real for that matter. Just remember that it's all made up, just like everything else. Then you are free to be wonky in public places and confuse people with nonconformity. It reminds them that they are alive. It reminds you that YOU are alive too, and not stuffed in a stuffy box.
