Adventuremice at the Booksellers Association Conference 2023
On Sunday, Philip Reeve and I whizzed from Bath Kids Lit Fest to Coventry, and then to Hinkley to give a very short presentation at the Booksellers Association Conference. Islay Book Festival 2023

Adventuremice: the Daring Dormouse prototype
I'm often asked 'where do you get your ideas'? For Adventuremice, they started with me drawing bath toys and little wooden ships I'd picked up at the local market. One of them turned into this protype for The Daring Dormouse. I keep this drawing clipped to my studio wall, to help me get the details right whenever I draw it for the books:
