We have power as of last night. We stayed for the storm, the first storm we've stayed for since I moved here. Before last night we only had radio, and I can't even comprehend what I am seeing on the news. Thank you to all who have called to check on us; we are fine. This is unimaginable.

Good to hear you are well, all the pictures have just looked so scary. I keep wondering about Dauphin Island, since we planned on going back there in a few months. I have a feeling there may not be much to go back to at this point :o(

Dauphin Island is bad. Our neighbors have a house there and the whole first floor is gone, just washed out around the frame. From what I understand I think the west end of the island washed away - houses and land.

I don't know about how long it will take, but be assured that Dauphin Island will be rebuilt. Mobilians are very proud and don't let hurricanes win.
