(no subject)
last thursday night, we (as in me, my roomies, and brandon) went to a graffiti party. it was mostly fun. except for the two scary guys that were hitting on me (one of them disappeared when i told him i didn't kiss drunk guys that i met randomly at parties)... after that, i decided i should stay away from guys with alcohol... but, as you will soon see, that didn't last long...
went home friday for the weekend... my dad's sister was in town, so there were lots of family dinners. i escaped early-ish both nights though to go find jamie and have fun! well, assuming fun is video games and bonfires. i got my butt kicked in Worms. the bonfire was interesting. i was a bit tipsy for a while... tipsy enough that i think the guy i was talking to (who, by the way was a bit more than tipsy) managed to convince me to give him my number.... but he hasn't called yet, so we'll see.....
my return trip to school on monday took twice as long as usual... stupid labor day traffic... it took me an hour to go eight freakin miles! i finally did get back, and then got to play catch-up on all the reading that i neglected to do over the weekend....
tuesday was classes alllll day.... my classes are actually fun; well, at least as fun as can be expected.... and i've even managed not to skip any of my 8am's! aren't you all proud?! =P
speaking of school, i've decided to do an honors-option in my Shamanism class. to get the 'H' designation, i basically just have to look at a topic and write a more in-depth paper on it than what is required for class. i think i'm gonna do it on the use of psychedelic drugs in Shamanism.
yesterday, i was gonna go in to the lab and work, but i just couldn't seem to get up... when i finally did, i ended up going to barnes and noble instead.... it was unusually disappointing as they only had one of the five books i went in there looking for.... melissa and i went shopping yesterday evening... we got 'togas' (e.g., sheets) for the upcoming toga party... her's is leopard print, mine is bright fushia, and we got her b/f a bright orange one... =D
last night, i had to go visit j. who still thinks i should "think about things"... i wish he'd take a hint... i don't want to have to be mean..... =/
today was more class.... and i finally got all of my textbooks... i'm only missing a course pack now, but i don't think it's officially been sent to the printer yet, so i can't really get it anyways..... i also finalized my schedule for next semester... yay for being able to fit in two more fun (i hope!) electives and still not having class on fridays!
oh oh oh! and i made cookies tonight! yummy white chocolate macadamia nut... and chocolate chip (even if those aren't as yummy cuz i don't like the chocolate in them much...)
tomorrow i must get up and go to the lab... i need to study anyways -- i mineaswell get paid to sit and do it! =P and saturday, we're going to see the football game... surprisingly, this is my third year here and i've yet to make it to any sporting events.... i suppose it's time to break that streak... especially since we got the tickets for free!
i think that about sums it all up... i really should write more often, i just don't seem to feel like i've got anything important to contribute...
