I haven't posted an entry on this thing in over 2 years and I'm pretty sure I was high as whoa when I posted my most recent entry. So, hi there.
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before? Officially move out of Jersey, drink legally, and black out 4 times in one week.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I tend to not make resolutions because that would require me planning my life more than a week in advance.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Yes, my cousin.
4. Did anyone close to you die? Nope.
5. What countries did you visit? US of A.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008? A high-paying job and a sweet place to live in post-grad.
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? May 21st, my 21st birthday. October 27th, the day I accept my full-time job offer.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Getting a full-time job offer with JPMorgan.
9. What was your biggest failure? I don't fail anything except exams and sobriety tests.

11. What was the best thing you bought? My iPhone, which I named Skeeter Valentine.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration? All of the JPMorgan interns.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Getting up at 6am.

21. What LJ users did you meet for the first time? none.
22. Did you fall in love in 2008? Ha no.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Having better roommates.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008? During the summer I looked like a page in a J. Crew or Banana Republic catalog. During the rest of the year, I wore t-shirts and jeans.

I think it's pretty safe to say that 2008 was not the best year for anyone. So, I'm pretty pumped that it's 2009. I'm going to be graduating college this May. I'll be starting my first "real job" with a "salary" in July. I was really concerned about not finding a job after I graduate. This "downturn in the economy" hasn't really been beneficial to the graduating finance major. I interviewed at a bunch of firms in Manhattan and elsewhere. I made it to the final round of interviews for all but one of them, but I ended up getting rejected by all of them. So, what I was left with was a full-time offer from JPMorgan, where I interned this summer, in Delaware and a pending final round interview with GE in Chicago. I had an acceptance deadline for JPMorgan, so despite GE's final round interview being late this quarter, I had to accept JPM's offer. While this isn't a bad thing, I was really hoping to get out of Delaware after I graduate, but as of now, that doesn't seem to be in the cards for me.
I'm set to graduate on May 30th, pending some academic calamity, which I'm pretty stoked/depressed about. As much as I LOVE college, I'm ready to move on to the next part of my life. But for the time being, I'm going to get in as much trouble as I can before I graduate.
Since I'm not starting my job until July 24th, I have almost 2 months to kill before entering the real world. As of now, I have no idea what I'm going to do during that time. I'm trying to minimize the time living at my parents' house as much as possible, so I'll be looking for a place in Wilmington where the lease starts as close to June 1st as possible. I thought about going to Europe or elsewhere for a month, but I'd rather not spend the majority of my sign-on bonus on that since I'll have some debt to deal with once I graduate.
In other news, nothing has really changed with me personally. Although, not according to some of my friends from high school who I haven't seen in a while. They think I've changed. So, I don't know what I'm supposed to derive from that. The only that has changed is that I feel like I'm getting older. After I turned 21, I realized that I have no birthdays to look forward to (expect for 25 when I can rent a car without that nasty underage fee). Two of my friends are getting married this summer. I'm going to be a groomsman for my best friend's wedding. That should be a sweet affair. I'm mainly excited to be wearing a tux. I look pretty attractive in formalwear.
I don't know what else to talk about. So I'm going to leave it at this. If you feel that I didn't address something, feel free to let me know.
This may or may not be my last LJ entry. Depends how bored I get at a given time. So..see you in..2011..?
