Look what was in our backyard this evening?

We didn't move it.. We were about to call someone to rescue it, because it didn't look too good.. but then it got up by itself and hid under some plants. My mother and her great peripheral vision (she got it checked yesterday) spotted the mother owl (bad photos because it was far away and i had to use optical AND digital zoom in low-light):

And that's the most exciting thing that happened to me today.
It (the mother) was making these really eerie calls that sounded somewhat like a horse whinnie. (sp?)
