I really liked Meg narrating and the fact that she catches on to Logan constantly staring at Veronica. I also love how you portray Weevil throughout this whole story. It's very true to character because he's so loyal and so into respecting what other people do for worthy/noble causes even if he doesn't agree with it. I absolutely loved the Logan/Veronica bits because that is so a scene that I would love to have seen on film; the scene of them doing a purity test together, as a couple.
Great chapter as always. Thank you for distracting me from impending work.

Thanks! Yeah, I figured that Weevil would definitely be one of the few to realize that Meg wasn't like that. And I'm with you--I'd love to see something like b/w L and V onscreen. If only! :-)

And always glad to distract from work!

I've missed this while you were away!

I like how you subtlely incorporated more of Meg's story from this season into her parents' reaction to the Purity test.

I'm sad that we didn't get more of the Mac issue, but I like the choice you made.

Now, if Meg's noticed Logan looking at Veronica, has Duncan done the same thing?

The conversations between L and V about the purity test were pure gold! I felt for Veronica, and at the same time, I couldn't help by laugh at the whole situation.

Hee--I kept having moments of inspiration over the past week and I'm way too lazy to write them down shorthand, so hopefully I remembered at least some of them! :-)

And I'm with you--I'm a HUGE Mac fan and missed getting into her part, but we'll see her in the future!

I'm glad you liked the stuff about the purity test. It was MUCH fun to write! Thank you for your wonderful feedback. :-)

Wow.
Where to start.

Firstly.. Meg was such a sweet heart, I think sometimes she was portrayed too sweet and a lil psycho which I found unfair.

I mean she got dumped by DUNCAN.. ick. After reading this I could have totally seen Weevil whisking her and her sisters off to a house somewhere and totally taking care of them. If not as a boyfriend type guy, just a decent guy who had a huge feeling of family.

I also liked how she noticed Logan checking out Veronica.. kinda amusing considering her future beau is the real creepy watching you dance in your window while you rub your self with peanut butter (ooh se7en reference) type stalker.

Yeah I'm long winded but I also haven't been reading ANY fic lately. heh.

awesome job I am so happy you're back :)

I haven't read it yet, but just an FYI that the links to the previous chapters are all missing.

Also, I completely agree with you on the religion/Christians thing. So thanks for that.

Just to let you know, she usually links to the previous chapters and just spazzed this time ;-) I let her know and she'll be fixing it.

Also, she included the disclaimer about Christians, not only for a friend of ours, but because Christians always get dumped on and she wanted to clarify that Meg's parents are not indicative of the majority of Christians.

Oh, I totally agree. That's why I was glad to see it. I always thought it was great the way they portrayed Meg, and then we find out her parents are psycho. I was annoyed, to say the least.

I really enjoyed this change in perspective, and this actually seems like a very plausible explanation for the Mannings' creepy child abuse.
