So the comment after mine sort of spoiled me on the shocker, but it was still interesting to read in real time. Meg and Weevil is a rather unique pairing, but I see it working so well in this reality. She really does have a huge heart, and I can see her opening up to Weevil while at this house. The reveal about her parents being crazy now adds an extra twist, which I like.

Part of me is slightly sad that you didn't have a chapter totally on "Drinking the Kool-Aid," but I see why. The small bits that you had in there were wonderful!

Can't Duncan just hide in a deserted local for the rest of this reality? His appearance, while necessary, only makes me dislike him more and more.

Please tell me you incorporate the flashbacks of the game into the next part of this ep (or at least have "Annoy tiny blonde one" somewhere in this reality.)

I think that's all I can muster right now--I'm tired.

HOLY SHIT! MEG AND WEEVIL?! Damn, you're stretching it. Great lines in this chapter though:

He took one last look at Veronica now asleep on her waterbed before reluctantly turning his attention back to his paper. One last extraneous thought went through his head.

It’s a good thing Keith’s out of town.

That was amazing. Seriously, great chapter. I can't belive it though, Meg and Weevil. Like the idea and all but just, woah.

LOL. Yeah, candlewaxdreams said she'd never seen another fic with that particular combination and she reads everything out there, so it may be a first. :-) There's foreshadowing for it going back several chapters and I tried to work up to and make it as believable as possible because it is so unusual. Hopefully it goes over! *laughs*

OMG - I have loved this story from the start, but this, this twist, is so fun and cool and just genius. Meg and Eli, who would've thunk it, although, somehow, I can see it. She's smart enough to see behind the facade, and he loves to protect. I really like the way you play w/ the details from cannon without changing the essential nature of the characters.

I would quote my fav part, but I think it's too long - it's the conversation between Meg & Veronica when Meg begs Veronica to find Logan. It's priceless - the thoughts running through Veronica's head, the way she immediately helps, the fact that Logan had fallen asleep. It's great. One of the things I like best about this story is that it shows a plausible relationship between Logan & Veronica, one that isn't devoid of snarkage, but works even when they're not having sex. It's really refreshing.

Meg and WEEVIL?!? I LOVE IT!
Finally Meg gets to be with someone whose default expression is something other than constipated. I am very intrigued to see where this goes. And I always knew the Mannings had it in for everyone. Can you kill them instead? Just kidding. Looking forward to reading more!

Ok, I have more time to comment now. I loved the Meg/Weevil stuff; totally didn't see that coming, but I think you made it work. I like that Veronica realizes she's being a bitch and helps Logan out, so to speak. I also loved the Logan is an awesome boyfriend montage. Basically, I just liked the whole thing. I missed creep-tastic Duncan a little bit, but I have faith. And I really hope that you're going to write the poker scene from AEFC because I want to see that one; I think it's going to be awesome. Anyway, can't wait for the next installment.
