Great chapter..I love that Logan wasn't jealous of Leo, partly because he was probably too distracted but also because he really does trust Veronica. It sounds like Logan is beginning to think that Duncan might have actually killed Lilly. We'll see what happens with the Tritons, especially when Duncan locks Veronica in her trunk. I don't know Logan will be able to just let that go, even though she still has her cell phone. Not to mention, Veronica also gets arrested for the fake ID scam..I wonder if Cliff will also figure out that Veronica and Logan are dating? I also wouldn't put it past Duncan to have really put that idea to blame the IDs on Veronica in Rick's head because he wanted to see Logan have to watch Veronica being taken away and not be able to do anything. Hee. I'm already getting pissed at Duncan now.
especially when Duncan locks Veronica in her trunk.
Duncan wasn't involved in the trunk locking. I know, this from the girl who supposedly dislikes him-- *points to self* --lots. I must say, I was very disappointed when I figured it out. Anyway, Duncan was in the meeting with the school counselor at the time because Veronica was listening to him in the car when the Tritons arrived. Just wanted to clear that up, not being a mean picky bitch or anything. I really wish I hadn't noticed it though, that he was with the counselor, because now I can't use it against his character *sighs*
Well, *that's* no fun. *giggles* That's okay, I'm sure we can find other ways to vent our, um, feelings. (If only Teddy Dunn weren't such a nice guy!) *laughs*
I know somewhere along the lines of the past 18 chapters I fell in love with this fic and you know what? It just keeps getting better.
I love the breadth of this chapter, you cover so much in so many points of view but nothing feels incomplete or lacking. I love that you decided to do the Mac POV, that last bit about trading families really touched me. The entire scene of the non-gang girls confronting Meg was so out of Mean Girls (and yet, girls are so like that...) I loved it. And Weevil/Meg. Dude. It works, it really really does *swoons* And then there's Duncan, who I am now seriously afraid of, you do his creepy/crazy arc too well *hides*
Should I even mention the L/V? Because I've never seen Say Anything, but I have the sudden urge to head to Blockbuster. Seriously. They owe you! ;o)
Mac's situation isn't one that can really be resolved, I think, at least emotionally. I mean, she can come to acceptance, but it's not something that will ever be over, I think.
I have to say that the Esmerelda/Mercedes scene was a blast to write! Those lovely girls are completely based on people I knew in middle school. I was bussed into a school in the middle of the ghetto in Houston and that scene is so based on three years of hell that I spent in gym class. *laughs* Hello!
And Duncan...Duncan...he so writes himself! Whacko.
And it is a true moral imperative that you rent "Say Anything"!!! First of all, it totally rocks! AND I really am convinced that Lloyd is Logan twenty years ago. :-)
The action and intrigue never dies down and you amaze me by keeping it so interesting. There are a great deal of long stories that lose their spark after a while, but this one definately hasn't...and Say Anything...I love you more for adding that :D

I find that I'm often mad at Duncan for no reason other than he's just there. :-)
You rock! I love your feedback!

As Logan watched Veronica walk across the quad with Wallace, he was reminded of the fact that he was Lloyd Dobbler.
Lloyd wil forever and always be the perfect guy. The way he watches Diane.. god.
You even quoted the speech about a job.
For my valentines cd's every year I always use Say Anything quotes.
Thank you for making my night once again. This is the blue ribbon tho
