• 18:30 I don't understand the point of turning down expired ID at a bar. It still has a DoB and was issued by the state.

The issue is that if it's expired, there's probably a new one, which means there are two copies of that ID, which dramatically increases the odds that the holder is, in fact, the younger sibling of the person on the ID.
