Emergency Call

Aug 08, 2005 19:15

Hi friends, I need your honest opinion here. Do you think I'd look good in this dress? I've never tried this cut before, and I'm afraid that I'd look even more pregnant in it. =(
Also, please just tell me outrightly if think this dress is ugly, pretty, too sacharrine-sweet blah blah blah... Thanks!

i think it looks great babe. the colour will suit u cos u're fair-skinned, n i like the fact that it's sleeveless rather than spag strap cos i think it suits the dress betta. if u're tailoring it, make sure the length is like hers, at the knee cos it looks perfect like that

babe, I'm as tanned as you! oh dear...we really haven't seen each other for a long time, haha.

But thanks for offering your opinion! =) I'm still deciding whether to splurge on it or not cos I seldom look nice in dresses (big tummy la). Yet, I persist in buying them. -_-

I think it really depends on your preference- it's rather sweet for casual wear but definitely not suitable for work 'cos it seems too frivolous for work. (unless you have a dress-down friday policy). I think it should look nice on you because you are tall enough to carry it off. Look at the bottom seams and see if you think it's about the right type of folds (not too many nor too little) because if it's too loose (i.e. the bottom "flies" around), you may end up looking frumpy.

Fyi, personally I avoid dresses with empire-like cutting because while it makes me look even boobsier, the wide shoulder cutting has the propensity to make me look larger than life and if the dress falls all over the place, it will look like I am wearing maternity wear! Heh.

You might wanna consider grabbing it if it's cheap cos it looks really nice in the photo. Plus if it doesnt fall nicely, can try to sell online. :) Hope I helped in some way.

oops, i was considering the dress for work, maybe coupled with a sweater to make it more formal. I think the seams look pretty ok, but yeah, pictures can be very deceiving. All the models look gorgeous in the website, haha...

I haven't tried empire cuts before, although I believe like what you said, it might make me look even broader. I'm still trying to picture myself in it, quite difficult...

It's actually pretty cheap because it's a HK online site, and the dress comes up to only less than $20. So maybe I'd get it. And yeah, if it doesn't fit me, there's always the online alternative, hee. Anyway, thanks dear!

It's GORGEOUS! I think you'll look great in it, cos you've got the willowy kind of figure.

Give me the website! =P
