I, for one, welcome our typing robot overlords.

I write so much slower than I type AND it's illegible. :P

I actually have pretty decent handwriting, when I slow down and keep it reasonable. My quick-dash penmanship is pretty squirrelly, though.

You're right to cut that line, in there.

I was thinking about doing a week of handwritten posts, in response to something Wendig said about my handwriting. We could make a handwriting day of it instead, a la Talk Like A Pirate. The Internet seems to love theme days. (Today is Orange Ring-sleeve T Day, and tomorrow's Hawaiian Shirt Day, I think.)

Something happened in the last 90-100 days, and I've been writing notes and outlines and fiction fragments longhand like crazy. Notebooks are filling up. It's nice to see things not totally disappear when you cut them, for a change. Feels more in touch with my own progress from idea to thing.

You once said something mean about my writing and it still rears up and bites me, sometimes, when I'm just trying to get an idea fucking down in my notebook. So thanks for that.

I find it hard to believe that I might have once said something mean. What was it?

Said out loud and regarded coolly in good lighting, it doesn't seem like much. But you said it mean enough that Ken C., after having been gone awhile, flinched and said he'd forgotten just how mean it got. I remember thinking that a hit that'd make Ken flinch should've spiderwebbed my skull.

And I thought I was the only person left who does all their writing by hand...

at least at first.
