There is a fashionable myth these days that the right wing in Sweden is way to the left of the left wing in the States.  Perhaps once on a time this was true, but not anymore!  There is another fashionable myth that both left and right in Sweden have drifted to center.  If so, it's a "center" that's shifted pretty drastically to the right.  So, ( Read more... )

"Sverigedemokraterna" and "centerpartiet" would be better I think..

Also, are you saying centerpartiet and folkpartiet are the same thing? Centerpartiet supported the social democrats in the 90s, whereas folkpartiet did not I think....

Oops. Bad me. Writing too quickly last night! :-) Pray, too, forgive a native English speaker's habit of breaking words apart that belong together!

No, I did not mean to imply that in any way! I was merely describing/dismissing both of them :-p as small parties without a great deal to say. I will try to make that clearer.
