I'm trying to stay productive today but I'm not doing the best job. Whenever I get off of work at BJ's I kind of want to laze around until it's time to go to sleep and wake up for the next morning at BJ's. Marf.

I essentially moved out when I went to college in 1991 and after graduation, I continued living on my own in an apartment in North Jersey. I'm an only child so I was already used to doing things on my own. So I didn't need to adjust much.

Anyway, best of luck with your move!

For me, moving out felt like a sense of freedom...to have my stuff around me !
Of course that eventually got tempered by restraints imposed upon me by the real estate marketplace.

Living alone meant a newly-found sense of...privacy that I never had living with my big family with only 3BR.

I've been living on my own since Memorial Day weekend 1985, when I got that smaller (than what I have now) studio apartment in the literal armpit (look at it on a map) of Newark NJ known as Irvington. I stayed there for 5 years but was forced to move when it started to get unsafe for me there, though I would have eventually outgrown the place anyway.

Good luck with your new place!

I've been out of my parent's place for a few years now, but Kria and I only just moved into our own place this past March.
It's been an adjustment to say the least, but having the time, space, and freedom to yourselves is soooo worth it. Congratulations!
