The smaller wings look better for Derpy. *approving nod* I like the horse wings too. And for some reason it amuses me that horses get a saddle moodlet. Too bad about the wings being saddles in that context, though. :(
Back to faeries, have you ever read Emma Bull's Finder? It's set in the shared Bordertown universe (there are several books, they're all pretty good too). In Finder, one of the main characters is an elf who's a kick-ass mechanic and rides a motorcycle with a sidecar. Your tinkering, vehicle enthusiast fae put me in mind of her. :) (That character is also why I wanted a Mechano-hog so bad for my elf hunter in WoW... so happy when I finally got one!)
That sounds like an elf up my alley! The funny thing is, I was reminded of the little movie Disney came out with recently to show Tinkerbell's origins. (Hence Tink's name. :p

I have my eye on the Indian clothes, but I'm holding off for now... I also have my eye on a combined future/retro pack which I'll probably get first. I haven't tried the pirated versions of anything yet and I might just steer clear of that scene.
EA should just make their own wings. They'd probably look great if EA made them (MM and proud!)
The pirated stuff is nice if you want to just see what it looks like in-game but it's a hassle to jailbreak it because you have to find the decompressorizor program and run JUST those files through it and all this mess.
And in the long run, there's no support for the jail-broke stuff any ways, so if patches come up that change subtle functions in the furnishings like Pets did with the beds and sofas and such... you now have a whole bunch of furniture that will crash your game. Not worth it. I'd rather pay for the stuff in the end.
And yes, I think they WOULD make nice looking wings. The little wings on the Valentine's boy costume look wonderful to me, sadly, they're boy only and they LOOK like they were little costume wings since they have the little straps around the front. But the modeling was wonderful. (It was a freebie for Valentine's Day)
Like Derpy's new wings and Katniss looks good in the golden white pinto/paint pattern. The gold really glows against the white.
I may have seen another set of Pegasus wings, not attached to saddles. I say 'may' because I can't quite remember where I was... hmm, need to think.

Tink is lovely and does have a slight anime look to her. She looks gorgeous in that outfit too. Loving her earrings. Like the colours too, gives it an other-worldly feel. I don't see anything wrong with you using a similar face shape, she looks as you felt she should look. It's all good.

Possibly you saw the Pegasus wings being used on Silverdragon's site? that was where I found them initially was from your link of the various fur-patterns/textures for the horses, then went browsing the site, discovered her pegasi in her stable, squee'd for about five minutes then begged her for the link! She posted it a few days later!
That Russian site has some links to some marvelous content. I browsed it for quite a while when I found Derpy's wings! It was a little "Angel" set. Has a halo and dress which I quickly discarded because I don't ever seem to make angelic or demonic Sims. Just winged ones! :p
Initially that golden pinto pattern I had on the Vanner I named MockingJay. I put it on that one and thought... Oh! It looks even cooler on her, so I went with the theme and kept with the Katniss theme for her, too.
Yeah those are the same ones and I pretty much decided, "Sure, yeah. THey go away when they're not 'flying' around. I'm good with that!
The second wings aren't all that great looking, sadly. Although the upside, I can now access SimCave again. I could never figure out what the link was to that site! :D
Hrmm, I'll have to keep that in mind then. Still! It's a nice alternative for non-fairy Sims. (Not that I make that many angels... but like everyone else, I love wings!) XD
Now, if I could just find the other saddle with wings that I accidentally ran across. (I saw it on the exchange, on a horse, so no guarantee DLing would give it to me, unless I know where it is.) This wasn't a pair of wings though.
It was a normal looking saddle that had a nice wing motif on the side. It might even be in the game; I haven't looked yet (I got sidetracked into hunting this down first), but I was kicking myself for not bookmarking the horse I saw it on. Then I would have a point of reference, at least. :P
