I've seen reports of such machines before, from Europe and the USA. Now, Japan has developed them as well. Yet we see no movement to expand and upscale these projects. Why ( Read more... )

That's pretty cool. Considering it is using heat to convert the plastic back to oil, I would imagine the electricity use could be pretty high, but I sort of feel like it would be worth it to start trying to actually make a difference to the amount of trash and Co2 we are putting into the environment. I agree that we should send a ship out there and work on that abomination in the sea until it is gone.
