Rathlin Island

Had a wonderful, relaxing time on Rathlin with Andy Luke staying in the hostel he's working at. People there all so friendly, Weather bright and sunny (forecast before I set off was cloud and rain every day - in fact it only rained once, at night) - caught the sun a bit on first full day there walking to the West in the morning - and that was a ( Read more... )

It does look very pretty on Rathlin. I can't really help with the identification but it has the look of an orchid from the head (I know, not a good feature) though not from the leaves and there are so many it can be hard to identify them.

Thanks. Travel was smooth, despite forgetting passport which gave me a nasty turn on the bus to Heathrow when I realised I'd forgotten it - and initial people asked at Heathrow didn't know if it would be OK or not, - said try security, who actually didn't bat an eye. I hadn't left enough time for connections if plane was late on way there, so I was lucky. Back I had oodles of time and spent an hour and a half looking around Belfast.
