Oh, I so love this story!!! Poor Wash! But even more, Poor Madeline!!!

I love, love Madeline's descriptions of the Firefly crew. Of course, it almost makes me wish that I had asked for Zoe/Madeline, but Wash/Madeline is blowing my mind with its awesomeness!!!

*grins* I'm glad you like it!

I can't bring myself to feel too badly for Wash; he may be being used for sex and information, but I can't imagine that he particularly minds. Lol. At least not the first bit.

But yeah, poor Madeline. I can't imagine her not feeling a bit off, being outside of Section's control for the first time in... well, a really long time, and I can't see her not worrying, on some level, about Paul and how he's handling things (not to mention how he's handling her absence). Of course, being Madeline, she'd rather distract herself than dwell on things, and since she doesn't exactly have any work to do... well, Wash makes a suitable distraction. Lol.

Of course, it almost makes me wish that I had asked for Zoe/Madeline, You know, thinking about it, I think if I'd had to write Zoe/Madeline, it would have had to be in a different setting. They're both way too untrusting. Either Zoe being recruited into Section, or maybe something set during/just after the war, with Madeline involved in interrogations of prisoners or ( ... )

Yay! I'm really happy you brought this back. I'm enjoying the AU universe you're crafting, but my favorite moment was when she saw Paul sitting in her office...sad. ;( I also like the Wash character; it's fun to see Madeline interact with someone who so endearingly and genuinely *likes* her, and not for any ulterior motive.

Also, completely OT, but how are you liking Rome so far?

It's weird, I'm writing AU fic, and it's supposed to be (and sort of is) Madeline/Wash, but the Paul/Madeline relationship drags me back in time and again. Lol. Writing Madeline interacting with Wash is really interesting for me, in a lot of ways, because his reactions to her and view of her isn't colored by the knowledge of what she's done/capable of/etc, and so it's simply reaction, not assumption or fear or whatever. Granted, Wash is kind of into women who can kill him with their pinky, so even if he knew more about her, he'd probably just like her even more. *shakes head ( ... )

*nods* This is what I was thinking. But it's also endearing that he would still like her even he knew what she was--he's similar to Paul in that aspect.

Yeah, Rome can be a bit hard to get into--I wasn't like, OMG LOVE until the last few episodes of season one. I'm also completely uninterested in Vorenus and co., so the "political" episodes work a lot better for me. But you looove Atia, right? And I will go down with the Antony/Atia ship, so I was hoping that you would write fic. I'm so self-interested. LOL.
