Despite what my mother-in-law claims (at great and embarrassing length, to anyone who can be cornered into listening):

~ Ocelots are not dogs. (They're leopards.)

~ The ancient Egyptians did not worship ocelots. (Ocelots are native to South and Central America; Egypt, as you may have observed, is in Africa.)

~ My mother-in-law's cat is not an ocelot

Oh, that's why kitty prefers fresh meat to kibble: because he's really a dog. (Duh!) ;P

lol....best post re: ocelots i've ever seen.....i back you up completely as my husband used to work an exotic animal petting zoo which contained actual non-dog ocelots. ;)
