Work is going GREAT! I am finally getting to do scheduling which I've wanted to do FOREVER and I've been developing everywhere. And I am really excited about my career prospects and finally believe I am capable of achieving my dreams.

Also I am super happy I am living in LA which I remembered as I walked home to a sunset over the ocean.

While I don't think I am quite cut out for LA, I'll bet watching the sun set over the ocean would make up for any other problems I would have.

I am so glad your job is going well. It sounds like a blast.

On Monday, I took the earthling to the aquarium, and he stared at all the fish in amazement, and learned to identify some fish and also seaweed by name.

On Tuesday, he realized that there is a FISH TANK at his preschool, and looked into it and saw fish! And seaweed! (In that case, fake, but I did not tell him.) Each day since then, he has asked to go back to the aquarium to visit the fish and the seaweed again. And tomorrow, he will.

The awe that a tiny person can bring to something like seaweed is just - wow. The whole world is new to the earthling, and I'm close enough to him that I get to experience some of that awe, too. Parenting is very much like a contact high, in other words.

I realize that it isn't the first time you have heard this but, Earthling really is the most adorable child ever.

Thank you for sharing the contact high long-distance.

Thank you. It is a new week now. Hopefully we can get through it without anyone I know getting diagnosed with anything awful.

*crosses fingers*
