So George and I were walking home from the dog park and we saw something that looked like a bag of leaves next to the sidewalk. There was a gal leaving the house next to the bag of leaves who walked right past it. I was about to do the same when George started sniffing at it worriedly

I'm really not a good person. Left to my own devices I would have probably walked on by assuming - or pretending to assume that that was a bag of leaves. I nearly did anyway.

George planted himself and gave me the look. Shih Tzus know the art of the guilt trip.

But the point is you did stop, and you did help. I'm still giving you a gold star.

I really wish that I was as good of a person as my dog thinks I am.
