LOLOLOL!
I would love to torment some Republicans! Maybe that pro-prop-8 biatch that I told off and hung up on felt tormented by me; one can only hope. But I hates beer, precious; wassup wit that?
Your Monster Profile
Basilisk Terror
You Feast On: Beer
You Lurk Around In: Olive Gardens
You Especially Like to Torment: Republicans
What's Your Monster Name?Mmmm, I would love to lurk in olive gardens. I could eat "ah-loves," as my little brothers and I used to call them, all day if not for the salt. In fact, I have 5 cans of black olives in my cupboard, and I think I'll go eat a can as soon as I finish posting this. I have a can of green olives too but I'm too agitated about the election, especially about Prop. 8, to eat something that acidic right now.
I don't disagree with the person on my flist who posted a little earlier that they don't think McCain is a bad person, I don't actually have an opinion about that. I totally agree that Obama isn't perfect, just the person we need running our country right now, the person we need representing our country to the world so we can regain some credibility, and a person many of us have a need to watch stand proud at the head of our country.
I do think Palin is a bad person, even creepier than H. Clinton and not even on the side of the good guys where the Clintons are. She comes across to me as a glib liar and as self-centered and selfish as they come. Sneaky too.
I cringe at the thought of encouraging anyone who intends to vote for 8, 4, 9, 6, 7, 10, or against 1A, 2, 12, or my county's VV. (In my opinion, 3, 5, 11, and Alameda County's WW are complex enough for reasonable positions in either direction, though I myself am vehemently against 3 and supported the others.)
But in light of the fact that "No on Prop 8" signs are being stolen from people's lawns in flagrant violation of several of America's long-standing principles, I feel ethically compelled to say: No matter what your opinion is: if you have an opinion, for the love of Goddess go and stand up for it tomorrow. There is no room for any Fail right now in our exercise of our civic rights and duties.
This is intentionally public, but non-friend comments are screened, so don't bother writing anything incendiary, I'm the only one who'll see it and I don't give a flying F who hates me for my views, haven't since I could first talk. But strangers are perfectly welcome to post anything civil, for or against my views.
Best regards,
Jackie
