Wow, thank you for this comment! I love seeing someone reading the story and really thinking about it. And the pity looks aren't the only reason Ian doesn't want to tell, he's terrified of hurting his mom, Mel (who we'll see later), and especially Anthony. Also, in a way, he's still not really accepted what's happening to him. If he can pretend it's not happening with everyone else, he can almost lie to himself and pretend it's not real. Almost.
And I'm glad that you have an opinion on this, and want him to tell. It's really cool to me how some people might think this is the right thing to do, but others disagree, it makes the interpretation of the story different for every reader, and I think it's gonna be fun to see these different interpretations.

I love this series. When Ian was worrying about ordering the food, I was actually worried with him. Is that strange? Anyway, you're a great writer! Please write more :3
