Tesseracts 101

Tyr and I are planning a tesseract event so this post discusses them in more detail, and how Camp might effect them.



So, tesseracts basically screw with space and time a lot. They also radiate out backwards in time from when the machine is turned on so the event will end with Harper turning on the machine. Seeing as Camp exerts it's own force on things they can be severe in one place and not effect another at all so it's completely opt-in.

Here's a list of what tesseracts can do:
-send you back and forward through time (meet your past/future self! See prehistoric Camp or witness an amazing Camp event from way back when. or go to the future (ie posts for this can happen long after the event is technically "over") Time displacements usually don't last too long.

-bring things from other times/places here. Enemies from the past and future can show up for battling and sections of Camp can become somewhere else temporarily. A circle of arctic snowfield in the center of camp for a moment

-spatial displacement! This is the most common one in the episode. Basically every step risks sending you somewhere else within Camp, usually away from their goal. It seems random but there's actually a really complex pattern to it which Harper knows and can tell people so they can get places.

A rough idea of how the event will go:
-starting post (by Harper and Tyr) with at least some fun spatial displacement.
-other posts and threads that anybody can put up to play with the other effects and/or battle things from home
-closing post where Harper turns on the machine

Duration: A couple days? Longer if people want.
