while i'm waiting for the lecture videos to completely download, i figured i might as well write in this thing.  i guess you can say that i'm giving into peer pressure considering out of the 2 or 3 that regularly read this journal, one of you spoke up

I think you're somber and spooky and by my assessment, of the perfect radiologist temperament. Don't give up on your dreams!

Hm. I only really have my dad for reference, and while at home he is somber and moody with no tolerance for people, from what I hear he's a pretty jovial and fluffy person at work--except at board meetings, which he considers the equivalent of a big pile of bullshit.

you wouldn't last one day as a radiologist. those other radiologists would eat you alive. if you really want to be a radiologist, though, perhaps you should consider growing a mustache.

Maybe what they're trying to say is, based on what they think they know of your personality, that they are unsure you're the kind of person who would, in the long haul, enjoy Radiology

thanks for your well-thought out prose... always nice to have the perspective of someone a little closer to me in years. i guess the question right now is: do *i* want patient contact? your motivations for going into medicine seem clear, but i'm not too sure if they're the same for me. i guess i still have a few more years to figure it all out...
