The cool thing is this makes "yellow-blooded" a double-bladed insult; it picks up (in English, anyway) the inference of cowardice, PLUS associates the target with "those others" (who being the enemy, would be rather routinely demonized - just as we - sadly - do with 'enemies' today who are totally human...)
