Theoretical Ink

I wonder... if I got a tattoo of the hypercube would anyone know what it was?

Though a two dimensional representation of a four dimensional shape rendered onto a three dimensional body (mine) would make for an interesting irony.

Yep, this is the kind of stuff I think about dead sober.

'if they're animated'
what would be good would be somebody with a tic getting it tattooed over where the constant muscular spasm occurs

Mr Chapman, I see the wisdom of your advice.

Well, your body may be three dimensional, but the surface of your skin is two dimensional, just as a sheet of card or paper is three dimensional but its surface is two dimensional. That the skin is warped and wrapped in a three dimensional space doesn't add any depth to it as a surface. Yes, the ink penetrates the depth of the skin, but so does ink with paper.

(that I feel the need to argue about this when sober is even worse than your need to think about it)
