The New York Times has a short piece by Neil Gaiman about Halloween. You all should read it.

I was planning on making a scramble this morning with some leftover eggs and some Chicken and Mango sausage. I decided to try throwing in some bananas as well as the cheddar cheese. I was pleased with the result, although next time I think I would use a little less banana.

Introversion Software has made a new game called "DEFCON". It's got simple little wireframe graphics. Music plays softly as little ICBMs move across the screen and blossom in slow motion. Red numbers announce the megadeaths each time a city is hit. It's pretty eerie. It's also sort of fun.

New Lego Mindstorm NXT kit is on its way

Mike and I are now the proud owners of an XBox 360.

I get up at 5 AM. Oh, the humanity. I have Tex-Mex food in Dallas with Mike and his mother. There is much plane flying. Advance Wars: Dual Strike is an awesome way to pass the time.

I read Pat Cadigan's Mindplayers recently, and was unpleasantly surprised by how bad it was. It had a plot that moved a glacial pace, and lots of the characters were fairly flat.
