Dude.

In cleaning my room, I just sat down and flipped through the binder I used freshman year (the red vinyl one with the velcro letters on the front that said either 'Claymate' or 'Nerdcore' depending on my mood).

And all I want to know is why none of my so-called friends ever told me how much I sucked then? Seriously. I was such a lazy, ( Read more... )

And I don't suppose I could get much better help. I took two years in high school and pwned it, and then I took Spanish 121 in the beginning of freshman year (a combined 101/102 course) -- which I understood perfectly, although I made a C because I was lazy as hell about the homework and vocabulary. But it's been long enough now I've forgotten the vast majority of my tenses and stuff. Plus there's a hell of a lot of required work for the minor that I don't think I could fit in my current schedule. It'll be much easier to get a business minor -- since I have to take a bunch of business electives anyway, if I take them all in one discipline I get a minor anyway.

that would probably work out better for you since you're going into business anyhoo. if you want to keep your spanish up, i'd suggest you buy some books in spanish (something you're planning on reading, even summer reading BS like da vinci code or something,) and force your way through it. most of the english you've learned hasn't been out of a book about tenses and other grammatical/lit BS either.

::hugs:: It's how we learn. Don't dwell on it, it's bad for you and makes you miserable.

Look on the bright side: clearly, you DID learn an incredibly valuable lesson from that year.

And I'm not saying that to be snarky.
