That's too bad, because it means that you can't count on prices steadily going up from here. As long as your not looking at this as purely an investment property I guess that doesn't matter, though.

Sounds like you're gonna need to go back to look at places sometime soon. I might be going over in August to sail back with this woman who is moving her boat... I'd love to spend some vacation time in Paradise with you before sailing, though!

yup, i know. not sure if it's gonna be an investment place or not...i'm thinking of getting my feet wet here in portland first. buying a couple of investment properties, seeing how it goes. my goal is to retire by the time i'm 40 and travel the world, comfortably. i want to own property all over the world, increasing my net worth and what not. when's your next p-town visit? we must chat about real estate.

i'm thinking of going to school part time (like i really need to go back to school, i've already got two degrees) and getting licensed as a real estate broker.

Dunno when I'm headed down there next... not this weekend. Maybe next weekend. I'm certainly down on the 23rd if not before then (hanging out for a day then headed down to SF for pride)

I'm not sure I understand your goal of owning property all around the world... management of scattered properties would drive me crazy.

Certainly money in real estate brokerage.. I'm learning something about that as I get ready to sell my house also.
