Today, my taxi directed me to a clinic on the far south side.  There, I picked up a girl in her late teens and a young boy in his upper threes, maybe as old as four.  I couldn't tell if she was just a young mother or maybe the boy's sister.  They never said anything to give away their familial status ( Read more... )

All of these stories remind me of the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven. Very inspiring as a (fledgling) writer.

AWH! When I was riding the bus out to catsit on City View there was this adorable little boy who got on the bus (#6) at MATC for three or four stops and gave the bus driver a high-five when he got on and off. It made my day. And you know how I feel about little kids!

I love how he was so matter-of-fact about it, as if it was such an obvious thing! how could you forget it! I love the way little kids think :) sooo adorable. Thanks for this story.

Aw, I love high fives - a fellow after my own heart! How sweet. For some reason, when I read this the first time, I read it has he was in his mid-thirties, not threes. :P
