KCON 2012~ \o/
Haven't made a post in FOREVER but I decided to write a fan account about KCON so here it goes~
DISCLAIMER: This is my first ever fan account so it’s gonna be crappy as hell. I just want to write it because I had an AMAZING time. Don't have any expectations~ and I know I’m late as hell in posting this but oh well \o/
So on October 13th, I went to KCON with one of my friends, Chin!! The convention was pretty horrible, but the concert was SOOOO awesome \o/ My legs were killing me and I lost my voice lol
The Convention:
Chin and I got to the Verizon Ampitheater around 9AM. There was already a long line waiting to get in and it made me wonder how long people were waiting. While in line we saw a lot of people cosplaying idols. We saw people dressed as Ren, G-Dragon, Dara, Bom, Hyosung, Lay, etc.
The doors opened at 10AM and the line started moving pretty quick. Right when we were inside the convention, Chin and I split up. Chin went to go get into the line for the NU'EST fansigning event, while I got into the line to buy merchandise since my dumb self didn't pre-order or buy any merchandise to get signed. (which wasn't a problem in the long run)
Around 10 minutes after I got into the line for merchandise, all Exo-M merchandise was sold out. I was sad but I knew that I could still get a shirt signed and I really wanted to get B.A.P's album so I stayed in line. After 40 minutes or so, some guys tried to cut in front of me AND I WAS NOT HERE FOR THAT SHIT. I waited in that line under the hot sun for that long and I was not going to let some random guys get in front of me. I was in line for 2-3 hours and right when it was almost my turn, B.A.P stuff sold out, so I was sad, hot, tired, and annoyed. I bought the glowsticks and a KCON shirt since they said you can get those signed as well (which actually turned out to be totally a waste of $20 -_- pretty annoyed about that still)
Right after I bought the merchandise, I went to go look for Chin and saw the fuckery that was the fansign event. KCON made it seem that everyone will be able to get something signed but then they announced it was just the first 50 people. If KCON just told us that since the beginning, I wouldn't have even bothered to try to get an autograph. After VIXX, we just gave up because it was just crazy and SUPER unorganized. I was in line for a pretty short time when all of a sudden the crowd started pushing forward and this girl in front of me almost got trampled :( Luckily she didn't fall. Then, security told us that we needed to evacuate or they are going to shut down the whole fansigning event all together. So I was got myself out of that crowd ASAP. I was just so hot and tired from waiting in the line for merchandise that I didn't even want to try to get anything signed. I was just done with all of it.
We were hungry so we bought some pizza. After a while a girl sits across from us and we have a good conversation. I found out after tho that it was nickymins! lol xD
So B.A.P was about to have their fansign session and we decided to at least try to see a glimpse of them. So we went to go see if I can take a picture of them. But fucking tall people were in my way and they wouldn't let me get closer so I couldn't see anything. I tried to take pictures still but most of them was just of the back of this guys head except one of them that caught a glimpse of Youngjae lol.
I got stuck in the crowd though so I have to find my way out.
They asked if we have any presents for B.A.P AND I WROTE A LETTER AND GAVE IT TO THEM OMG I HOPE THEY READ IT AND LOVE ME. but I failed and wrote (in Korean) I was Korean instead of I'm learning Korean OTL
Before the concert we went to go meet up with Ali and Nicky to talk for a bit until we all went to go get inside the venue ^^
The Concert:
HOLY SHIT THE CONCERT WAS SO GREATTT
So it started with AJ Rafael performing two songs as as one of the opening acts and omg his voice is really good.
Then it was Dumbfounded. He performed a song with the background music of GD&TOP’s ‘Knock Out’ and then he played another song that I didn’t know but it still enjoyed it.
Then a group called Daze47 performed with BWB which is a dance duo who won Season 2 of Korean’s Got Talent. The duo were popping/locking and dancing sort of robot like. I enjoyed the performance since I am a big fan of that type of dancing and music (as hard as it is to believe xD)
After a while though, one of the guys from Daze47 started to sing and I guess he was so hyped up that he took off his shirt. Everyone was kind of like “wtf” since we thought they were just DJs but I didn’t complain since he was really good looking and hi body was banging ;D
THEN FINALLY IT WAS MY B.A.P BABIES!!!! \o/ I found it weird that they were the first ones performing because I was pretty sure a lot of people came to see them, but they were still awesome!
They performed 3 songs: No Mercy, What My Heart Tells Me To Do, and Crash
They started off with No Mercy and it was wonderful >u< You can hear everyone audience singing the “boom clap boom boom clap” parts. Stupid Jongup did the dougie during the dance break and I almost died. And ugh it was just all kinds of great.
Right after, they introduced themselves and talked a bit in their super cute English ;u;
Then they sang What Me Heart Tells Me To Do which was a bit odd since it’s a ballad but I still enjoyed it.
They finished it off with Crash and it was just all kinds of adorable/cute!
Right before they got off stage, they kept asking us who the MC was. I don’t think anyone knew/remembered but we all screamed when they asked the audience "who who who?" because it just the cutest thing ever.
Turns out it was Danny! He asked B.A.P if it was their time here in America and they said it was. He also asked them what was the difference between American fans and Korean Fans and Yongguk said that we are CRAZY compared to Korean fans. I took that as a HUGE compliment tbh \o/
Next was G.NA!
She Sang 2Hot, the English version of I'll Let You Go So You Can Live, and Black & White.
She introduced herself and she was an MC along with Danny so it wasn’t the last time we were seeing her.
THEN IT WAS VIXX!
I didn’t know anything about them before the concert but I absolutely FELL IN LOVE WITH THEM. I screamed my butt off for them lol (I know all their names and songs now because right after they finished perform, I knew I just had to stan them! It didn’t hurt that they were all good looking lol)
They performed Rock Ur Body, UUUUU, and Super Hero.
Rock Ur Body was super catchy and it was easy to learn the “rock your body body, rock your body body” part in the chorus so I kept singing along to that part lol ^^
When they were introducing themselves, they were just all kinds of adorable!
When it was N’s turn, he pointed to himself and said “I’m leader~!!” and I almost died from the cute >3< Then right after Hongbin and Hyuk followed and said “I’m picture~!!” and “I’m youngest~!!” and bam I was dead. It was just too adorable, I couldn’t handle it and I didn’t even know who they were lololol. Then Ken showed off his vocal skills when he introduced himself and it kinda got on my nerves but it was still great lol.
After everyone was done introducing themselves N, the leader was like "Wait a minute! Pyong~” and took out this little card AND IT WAS JUST TOO FREAKING CUTE. He was reading it in English and asked us “Are you understand?” and everyone yelled “YES!” and he was like okay, and kept reading. Right when he was done the other members were like “Hyung, just like reading book” and he was like “no, no” and ugh it was wayyyy to adorable. VIXX ARE TOO CUTE FOR WORDS YOU GUYS!
Then they performed the song UUUUU and it was just the cutest thing ever. It's one of those songs written for the fans so they were just doing aegyo and throwing hearts to the audience during the whole song.
Lastly, they performed Super Hero and that song was super catchy too. They were awesome \^O^/
NEXT IT WAS NU’EST TIME~!!!!
They started it off with Face and everyone went CRAZY. A lot of people were singing along but EVERYONE sang along to Aron’s lulzy rap at the end WORD FOR WORD. It was great xD and NU’ESt were amazing.
When the members introduced themselves, I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t do it in English (except Aron ofc) even though they did say a line or two in English. Aron was the main was speaking and spoke the most, no surprise there.
Next they performed Not Over You. I never heard that song before the concert so I enjoyed it.
The last song they performed was Action and once again, everyone sang along to Aron’s rap xD
THEN IT WAS MY BABIES, EXO-M’S PERFORMANCE!!! \O/
They performed History, Angel, What Is Love, and MAMA~
History was just great. Everyone actually sang their parts but Luhan even sang the chorus and I was SOOO impressed. He sounded great.
Next was Angel, and ngl I barely listened to this song but I really like the choreography so I REALLY enjoyed it. Luhan, Lay, and Xiumin were pretty much all smiles during the performance ^^
Then it was time for them to introduce themselves~ Tao was the first one and in the beginning he was super confident with his English intro but then he like blanked out. He kept trying to remember what he was trying to say and even asked Kris to help him out lol. When he finally remembered he yelled out “Are you having a good time!!?” Next Xiumin and Luhan introduced themselves and made a heart which each other.
When it was Lay’s turn, he made half a heart with himself lol.
Finally it was Kris’s turn and he was like "Thank you for having us here tonight and umm...." He couldn’t remember what he was gonna say so he had to ask the members what he was supposed to say but then he remembered and asked how everyone in the back was doing and after the audience screamed they all walked towards the very front of the stage and I was like I CAN’T. THAT WAS SO NICE OF THEM ;u;
They told us they had a surprise for us and I thought they were going to sing a new song or something but it turned out that the surprise was Luhan and Chen were going to performed What Is Love!! I was super ecstatic because I absolutely LOVE that song. Luhan was, once again, SUPER smiley during the whole performance. It made my heart feel all fuzzy :3
After, the MCs and the rest of the members came onto the stage. There was a short Q&A session where this video played that had 4-5 girls asking them questions and the audience was going to get to choose which question we wanted them to answer. The first girl on the video asked to see Kris do aegyo. Right when I saw that I already knew that was the question everyone wanted to be answered >:DDD
At first Kris refused to do it so Tao went up and did ‘buing buing’ and everyone went crazy! It was cute >u<
But after he was done, the audience started to chant “KRIS KRIS KRIS! But Kris STILL didn’t want to go and do aegyo so Luhan (To Xiumin’s surprise) pushed Xiumin to the front. Instead of saying ‘buing buing’ he said something like ‘labu labu’ and I JUST DIED!!! IT WAS SO FREAKING ADORABLE. UGH MY HEART~ XIUMIN I LOVE YOU.
But after Xiumin’s adorable! aegyo, everyone kept chanting Kris’s name because no matter what we were going to see his aegyo whether he likes it or not muahaha >:3 Kris finally gave in and did it. See for yourself lol:
Finally they performed MAMA, and Lay was SUPER into it. During the dance break, he took his jacket off a bit and revealed his shoulders. What a tease >.< and Luhan was also singing the chorus part in this song as well, I was really proud of him.
My love for Exo-M grew. They are all amazing performers ;w;
The last peformers were 4Minute~
They performed Volume Up, Mirror Mirror, Huh, and Heart to Heart, and Hot Issue.
Gayoon didn’t go for whatever reason which kinda sucks since she’s my favorite, even though I’m not really into 4Minute. Their outfits were really pretty. I really liked the zebra print skirts they were wearing. Even though I’m not a big fan, I still jammed and sang along to their songs.
At the end, all of the groups/came out and did their final bow together~
The concert was so awesome!!! Everyone’s performances were amazing~ but in my opinion, what made the performances infinitely better was the fact that everyone looks like they were genuinely having the time of their lives. They looked so happy and like they were having so much fun and it really made me happy seeing them like that ;u;The concert made up for the unorganized convention.
I want to thank Chin for all of these pictures (except the "Youngjae" one and the last one) I didn't really take pictures since my camera sucks.
